Washington Hall and Lafortune Student Center / University of Notre
Dame, Indiana
A blend of form and function for the grand dame of academic institutions
Like so many buildings on the University of Notre Dame campus, Washington
Hall, built in 1881, and LaFortune Student Center, built in1883, have great
historical significance. With both buildings listed on the National Register of
Historic Places, the renovation of the buildings called for windows that were
energy efficient and low maintenance, and that would preserve the profiles and
unique colors of the original windows.
Marvin was selected because of our custom capabilities, attention to detail
and experience replicating wood profiles using extruded aluminum cladding.
