A new structure with the look of 19th-century industrial architecture

The Oldenberg Brewery is a new structure with the look and feel of 19th-century industrial architecture, and fits well within the context of its site at Drawbridge Estates, near Fort Mitchell, KY. The architect relied on Marvin because “[Marvin] will give you what you want. Their products don't look phony. That's essential when we recreate period architecture.”

Today, the red brick and limestone structure houses a working brewery and a brew pub with two kitchens—as well as a balconied festival hall that seats over 750 for entertainment, Texas line dancing and more.

True Divided Lites help create a 19th-century feel.

Project Highlights

  • Large Double Hung windows with Authentic Divided Lites were used to brighten the brew house, and the new round-top Florentine windows of the brew pub are as beautiful on the inside as they are from outside.
  • A clerestory spans the length of the pitched metal roof. Pierced with wood windows, it floods the festival hall with daylight.
  • The windows look as timeless as the rest of the building, and thanks to insulated glass and low-maintenance features, they’ll remain that way for many years to come.
