Project Highlights

• Marvin supplied a series of energy-efficient in-sash Trapezoids, fixed Casemasters and operating Casemasters that can withstand the winds that whip around the building at speeds up to 80 m.p.h (130 km/hr).
• The stunning glass wall posed an interesting design dilemma. Marvin’s Architectural Department presented an engineering solution to the architect, who incorporated it into the design. The solution called for adding horizontal and vertical tube steel members (3" x 4" x 5/16") that could withstand both the window load and 1,000 lbs of end load from the weight and projection of the windows over the mountainside.
• An evergreen extruded aluminum clad exterior and bare wood interior were chosen to keep the building's look congruent with its natural surroundings.
